LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University women's basketball returns home to face Fairleigh Dickinson on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. The game begins the first of four straight home games for the Red Flash.
Saint Francis Quick Hits
Aaliyah Moore earned her fourth Northeast Conference Prime Performer, more than all other Red Flash players combined, after a career-high 18 points at St. Francis Brooklyn. She leads Saint Francis with 8.7 points per game and 9.4 rebounds per game, and is second in conference play with 9.2 points per game. Her rebounds per game are 2.2 higher than second-ranked Sophie Glidden of Stonehill.
Sam Miller leads the team with 9.8 points per game during conference play, aided by a 22-point performance against Sacred Heart on Jan. 16.
Filippa Goulai s sixth in the NCAA Division rankings with a 92.2 free throw percentage. She is the only NEC player in the top-75. As a team, Saint Francis ranks second in the conference with a 0.2 rebounding margin and is one of only two teams with a positive margin.
Last Time Out
Saint Francis took a 62-54 road loss at St. Francis Brooklyn, despite a career-high scoring performance from Moore. Saint Francis jumped out to a five-point lead early before St. Francis Brooklyn took a 9-7 lead with under five minutes in the first. Saint Francis went on an 8-1 run in the final half of the first quarter and held a 15-10 lead. In the second, Saint Francis led the entire quarter before the Terriers took a 25-24 lead right before halftime.
Destini Ward tied the game at 25 before the half expired. In the third, St. Francis Brooklyn jumped out to a 31-27 lead before Saint Francis regained the lead 33-31 behind six points from Laws. Both teams traded 7-0 runs before Saint Francis scored the final four points of the quarter and took a 44-40 lead. The Terriers started the final frame with a 10-2 run and took a 50-46 lead with under six minutes remaining in the game. Saint Francis was able to pull within one, 50-49, before St. Francis Brooklyn ended the game on a 12-5 run to seal its victory.
Scouting Fairleigh Dickinson
Fairleigh Dickinson enters Thursday's game with a 5-1 conference record, tied for second in the NEC, and a 13-5 mark overall. The Knights started conference play 5-0 before a 71-62 loss at Sacred Heart in their last game. Fairleigh Dickinson was the only NEC school with an above-.500 record in non-conference play. Chloe Wilson ranks fourth in the NEC with 15.4 points per game and Sierra DeAngelo is seventh with 11.7 per game. Wilson is also top-10 in the conference with 6.4 rebounds per game, while DeAngelo is fourth with 1.1 blocks per game. Wilson is a three-time NEC Player of the Week and DeAngelo is a one-time selection. As a team, the Knights are first in the NEC in points against (53.1), scoring margin (10.1), three point field goal percentage (34.7), three point field goals per game (7.2) and rebounding margin (2.6).
All-Time vs. Fairleigh Dickinson
Saint Francis holds a 47-24 all-time advantage over Fairleigh Dickinson, which includes a 27-9 record at home. In the last meeting, Saint Francis defeated Fairleigh Dickinson 70-56 at home to account for one of the three Knights' conference losses ahead of earning NEC Regular Season Champions. Miller led current Saint Francis players with 13 points in the game. Saint Francis has won three of the last four meetings and 10 of the last 12 since the 2017 season. The Red Flash have a current five-game winning streak against the Knights.

Wagner became the only undefeated team in NEC play after its 57-52 win over Central Connecticut. Sacred Heart handed Fairleigh Dickinson its first conference loss of the season 71-62 and moved both teams to 5-1. St. Francis Brooklyn improved its record to 4-2 with a 62-54 victory over Saint Francis, while LIU still seeks its first conference win of the season after a 56-49 loss at Stonehill. On Thursday, LIU hosts Sacred Heart, Merrimack hosts Central Connecticut, St. Francis Brooklyn hosts Wagner and Saint Francis hosts Fairleigh Dickinson.
