TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
Central Connecticut held an early 5-4 lead before Saint Francis went on a 13-3 run in the final five minutes of the first quarter. With the Red Flash up 18-7 after one quarter, the Blue Devils went on a 9-0 run in the first four minutes of the second quarter and cut the deficit to 18-16. Saint Francis responded with a 16-4 run the remainder of the half and opened a 34-20 lead.
In the third quarter, Saint Francis led by 18 points, 41-23, at the eight-minute mark. Central Connecticut was able to cut the deficit to 10 points, 47-37, at the end of the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, Saint Francis held a 55-44 lead with under six minutes remaining before an 11-0 Central Connecticut run tied the game at 55 with two minutes remaining. Goula hit a three-point shot with 1:09 remaining and gave Saint Francis a 58-55 lead before its eventual 63-57 win.
FLASH NUGGETS
Miller recorded the first double-double of her career and 12 rebounds were a career-high. The rebounds were her first time in double-digits and she has led Saint Francis in four of the past five games.
Novosel's 12 points and four converted three-point field goals were a career-high. She scored nine points twice this season and converted three three-point field goals once.
Goula's clutch three-point shot gave her the eighth double-digit scoring game of the season. She also tied her career-high at Saint Francis with two three-point field goals.
With her three steals, Turner now has at least two steals in the past four games.
