LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University women's basketball begins its first road trip of the conference season on Friday, Jan. 6 for a 6 p.m. tip-off at Stonehill.

Aaliyah Moore earned her second Northeast Conference Prime Performer selection after she scored 21 points and grabbed 25 rebounds in two games during the nomination period. She leads the conference with 9.7 rebounds per game. 2.3 higher than Sophie Glidden of Stonehill. Moore also leads Saint Francis with 8.3 rebounds per game and is tied with
Layla Laws for the team lead of eight blocked shots. Laws ranks seventh in the NEC with 1.4 steals per game, while

Last Time Out
Saint Francis dropped its first conference game of the season 76-25 against Wagner. Wagner scored the game's first eight points before Goula converted two free throws and cut the deficit to 8-2 with under five minutes in the first quarter. After Wagner held a 14-4 lead after the first, the Seahawks outscored Saint Francis 19-2 in the second and took a 33-6 lead into halftime. In the third quarter, Wagner outscored Saint Francis 20-8 and in the fourth quarter outscored the Red Flash 23-11 on the way to a 76-25 win.
Scouting Stonehill
Stonehill enters its first-ever matchup against Saint Francis with a 1-0 conference and 5-9 overall record. In their NEC debut, the Skyhawks defeated Central Connecticut 73-66 behind a career-high 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting from Glidden. Glidden leads Stonehill with 7.4 rebounds per game and 0.9 block per game, both top-six marks in the NEC. Emily Bramanti ranks fifth in the NEC with 14.6 points per game and third with 3.1 assists per game. She is a two-time NEC Player of the Week selection on Dec. 12 and Jan. 3. As a team, Stonehill ranks third in the NEC with 58.4 points per game and second with a. 39.2 field goal percentage.
All-Time vs. Stonehill
Saint Francis and Stonehill will play for the first time in program history after the Skyhawks reclassified from Division II to Division I on April 5, 2022. The last NEC team to reclassify from Division II to Division I was Merrimack in 2019 and Saint Francis fell to the Warriors 71-56 in that season.
Around the NEC
Fairleigh Dickinson, St. Francis Brooklyn, Stonehill and Wagner all earned victories in the conference-opening day on Jan. 2. Stonehill and St. Francis Brooklyn both won by less than 10 points, while Fairleigh Dickinson and Wagner both won by more than 30. Sacred Heart was the only NEC team not in action during the opening day. On Friday, Wagner hosts Merrimack, Stonehill hosts Saint Francis, Sacred Heart hosts LIU and St. Francis Brooklyn hosts Central Connecticut.
