TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
A 56th minute goal by Nyla Allen put Howard in front after a scoreless opening half. Melea Earley and Jaileen De Freitas each added a goal later in the half.

FLASH MOMENTS

Lauren Pyle (Lititz, Pa.) tried to open the scoring in the eighth minute when she booted a long shot on net from a free kick, but she was denied.

Sarah McConnon (Springfield, Pa.) made an excellent stop on a point-blank shot in the 17th minute, stepping right in front of the chance to keep Howard off the board.

In the 31st minute, Miko sent a cross into the box that nearly found Kendziora in front of the net, but the goalkeeper stepped in front of the ball and cleared the danger.

Coming out of the break in a scoreless deadlock, Miko made an excellent run down the left wing and again nearly connected with Kendziora on a through ball, but the goalkeeper cut off the pass just in time.

Breier almost got the Red Flash on the board in the 69th minute when she put a great shot on net that required a diving save to keep out.

Miko took a shot from about 25 yards out in the 84th minute, but the shot was saved.

Three minutes later, Colletta Ozbey (Pittsburgh, Pa.) nearly scored her first goal of the season, but hooked the shot just wide.
