Football Concludes Season with Dominant Victory at Central Connecticut

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – Saint Francis University football took a 49-14 victory over Central Connecticut in the 2023 season finale. With the victory, Saint Francis had its third consecutive conference season over .500.

» Cole Doyle went 16-of-25 with 253 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. He added five rushes for 50 yards.
» Dawson Snyder recorded six catches for 129 yards and two touchdowns.
» Jordan Jackson had 90 all-purpose yards with two rushing and one receiving touchdown.
» Tobee Stokes had a game- and career-high 106 rushing yards.
» Carter Glassmyer had a team-high nine tackles and one fumble recovery.
» DaMario Crawford had one interception and one forced fumble.
 
Turning Points of the Game
Central Connecticut scored first on a Luquay Washington 52-yard interception for a touchdown and led 7-0. Saint Francis responded with touchdowns on four straight possessions after the pick-six. Snyder started the stretch with a 13-yard receiving touchdown in the first quarter and tied the game 7-7.
 
In the second quarter, Jackson converted a five-yard receiving touchdown, Snyder had a 32-yard score and Jackson scored a 28-yard run to open a 28-7 lead by halftime. In the third quarter, Jake Bruno scored a 22-yard touchdown, followed by Jackson's third of the game on a one-yard run, to open a 42-7 lead in the third.
 
Stokes capped a 49-point unanswered run by the Red Flash on a 20-yard touchdown run with 13:18 remaining in the game. Central Connecticut scored a two-yard touchdown with 5:35 remaining before Saint Francis clinched its 35-point victory.

Saint Francis' 549 total yards of offense were the eighth most in single-game program history

Saint Francis scored its most points of the season, which was previously 35 on Oct. 21 at Duquesne. It was also Saint Francis' most points scored against Central Connecticut – previous high was 39 points last season.
 
Snyder recorded his second 100-yard receiving game of the season. He finished the season atop the Northeast Conference with 43 receptions and 718 receiving yards.
 
In his return from injury, Doyle set a season-high in passing yards and touchdowns. He finished with a conference-high 57.5 completion percentage, second with 15 touchdowns and third with 1,475 passing yards.
 
Glassmyer finished the season as the conference leader with 90 total tackles. His 78 tackles during conference play were 22 more than any other player in the NEC this season.
