SCOUTING THE WOLVERINES
Michigan comes into this matchup with a 6-5 overall record with all of their losses against ranked opponents such as Hawaii, Stanford, Arizona State, and Cal twice. The Wolverines are ranked as the ninth-best team in the country and have won the CWPA Championship six straight years going into the 2023 campaign. Michigan is led by Kate Utassy who has already registered 30 goals and 20 assists this season as she is the fastest Michigan player in history to record 50 points this early in the season.

The Red Flash will look to win their first game ever against the Wolverines as they are 0-9 in the series history. Kayla Rhoads led all Red Flash players with two goals against Michigan in last year's contest.

SCOUTING THE BISON
The Red Flash will face off against a familiar foe from just up the road being the Bucknell Bison. The Bison have a season record of 2-7 so far in 2023 with wins against Austin College and Santa Clara. The Bison are led by freshman Bella Schraa who scored five goals in the loss against Marist last weekend and she's scored goals in each of the Bison's two wins this season.

The last time these two teams played each other was last April in the last game for both of these teams at the CWPA Championships. The Red Flash were able to claim victory as Taylor Halbauer, Kimberly Frostad, and Emese Szucs all had multi-goal games to close out the 2022 season.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Saint Francis will play their first nonconference matchup this weekend against Salem who has just played one game this season which was a win last weekend against VMI, 16-12. The Tigers are led by Courtney O'Shaugnessy who scored four goals to lead the team this past weekend and also chipped in two assists for the team.

The last time these schools met was last March when the Red Flash won 8-5. Maysen Seile and Abigail Carter led the team with three goals each while Isabel Lumley had 12 saves to keep the Tigers in check.

SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS
The Red Flash will go up against the Explorers two weeks in a row now as they are set to play La Salle on Sunday afternoon. The Explorers have a 2-2 record this season with wins against Gannon and Saint Francis. La Salle is led by Francesca Co who earned MAAC offensive player of the week honors after her play last weekend as well as goalie Emma Gurasich who won MAAC defensive player of the week after strong performances in net.

When these two teams met this past week it was Caylah Olay and Halbauer who led the Red Flash with two goals a piece and Novalee Roberto scored her first career goal for Saint Francis in the loss.

THE RED FLASH
Saint Francis comes into this weekend series with a 1-4 overall record with their solo win coming against Santa Clara on Sunday. Caylah Olay was just recognized as CWPA Rookie of the Week after her eight goal performance this past weekend as she is second on the team in goals coming into this weekend series. Emese Szucs leads the team so far in 2023 with 12 goals on the season as she will look to increase that total tomorrow. The contests against Michigan and Bucknell will be the last conference games until March 4th when they meet Bucknell again at the Michigan Invite.
