OPENING TIP
• Thursday's game between Saint Francis and St. Francis Brooklyn marks the 91st meeting in the all-time series dating back to the 1929-30 season.
• The Red Flash leads the series 46-44 after an 87-61 win on January 20, but the Terriers have a 25-15 advantage in Brooklyn.
• The two teams will be playing at the ARC on the campus of Pratt Institute this season after playing the series at the Pope Center for the majority of the series.

THE WORD ON ST. FRANCIS BROOKLYN
• The Terriers come into the contest winners of four of their last six tilts and with a 13-13 overall record and 6-7 in NEC play after falling 62-51 at Stonehill on Saturday.

LAST TIME WE MET
Josh Cohen, Ronell Giles, Jr. and Maxwell Land combined for 32 first-half points to help Saint Francis jump out to a 46-21 lead at halftime en route to an 87-61 win against St. Francis Brooklyn on January 20.
• Cohen posted half of his game-high 22 points, while Giles also had 11 points and Land had 10 points in the first 20 minutes of the game. Cohen finished the game with 22 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals. Giles posted 16 points, while Land tallied 12 points in the winning effort.
• Zion Bethea (15 points) and Roy Clarke (13 points) paced the Terriers.

LAST TIME OUT
• Saint Francis was held without a field goal for the final 5:38 of the game in a 75-68 loss against Merrimack on Saturday.
• Redshirt junior  Josh Cohen finished the game with 24 points, nine rebounds and a career-high tying six assists. The redshirt junior is now just two points shy of 1,000 points in his career.
• Junior Maxwell Land added his third double-double of the season with 10 points and a career-best tying 11 rebounds.
• It was the first home loss in NEC play for the Red Flash and ended a six-game DeGol Arena winning streak.

A SFU WIN WOULD
• Be the team's second win on the road this year
• Be the team's second road win in the state of New York
• Sweep the season series with the Terriers for the first time since 2017-18 campaign
• Be the team's second win in the month of February
• Be the team's 10th win of the season to reach double figures in wins for the first time since the 2019-20 season under head coach Rob Krimmel and the eighth time in his 11 years

TRENDING UP
• Not to make these the redshirt Josh Cohen notes, but he is about to reach new heights in several categories, not just 1,000 career points.
• On the career charts, Cohen needs 22 rebounds to  become the 29th player in program history with 500 rebounds, and would become the 20th player in team history with 1,000 points, 500 rebounds.
• Currently sitting at 542 points, he needs 23 points to score the most points in a single season under head coach Rob Krimmel, surpassing Isaiah Blackmon's 564 points in 2019-20. He currently sits with the fourth most in the last 11 years.
• Cohen is also moving closer to the all-time charts in program history. With 11 points he would supplant Kevin Porter (552, 1970-71) for the 15th most points scored in a single season in program history. The redshirt junior also has 209 made field goals and Porter sits in ninth place with 220 from that 1970-71 season.
• Cohen has registered 20 points in consecutive games for the third time this season after registering 27 points against Sacred Heart on February 9 and 24 points against Merrimack two days later.  He also has registered a string of three-straight 20+ games and four-consecutive 20+ performances. He has also registered 20 points in eight of the last nine road games this season.
• Junior Maxwell Land registered his third double-double of the season and the first in 20 games. It is the eighth time this season the junior has grabbed at least seven rebounds in a game this season. While the Red Flash is 2-0 this season and 4-2 in his career when he scores 20 points in a game, the team is just  2-6 when he corralled  seven or more boards in a game this season.
• Redshirt junior Brad McCabe has his string of three-straight games in double figures in points against Merrimack on February 11. It was the most consecutive games with 10+ points in his career. He is averaging 10.8 points per game in his last five contests.
• Freshman Cam Gregory registered four points, four rebounds and five assists against Merrimack. It was the fifth time in 10 NEC games the freshman has dished out at least four assists and the ninth time this season. The four rebounds tied his career high in boards for the third time in his freshman campaign.
• Saint Francis is 8-2 this season when it makes at least eight baskets from behind the arc, which is also the total needed to give away free a free Big Mac at home games. The team is 8-0 at home when this happens.
• While the Petula Clark will tell you that you can forget all your troubles and forget all of your cares and go downtown, there is another area that has been key to the Red Flash success this season. The team is 8-7 when it has more points or even number of points inside the paint.

FRANKIES TIDBITS IN A FLASH
• Redshirt junior Josh Cohen comes into the game at St. Francis Brooklyn needing just two points to become the 43rd player in program history to reach 1,000 points in his career and the fifth under head coach Rob Krimmel
• Cohen will become the first player since Isaiah Blackmon hit the mark against LIU Brooklyn in the NEC Semifinals on March 9, 2018.
• If Cohen reaches the feat in Brooklyn, he would become the third player under Krimmel to reach the milestone on the road, joining Greg Brown at Rutgers on December 20, 2014 and Jamal King at Illinois-Chicago on March 14, 2019. Brown's 1,000th point also came in Krimmel's first win against a Big 10 opponent.
• Along with Brown, King and Blackmon, Keith Braxton is the other player to reach the milestone under Krimmel. Just like Blackmon, Braxton reached the milestone at home in a win against Morgan State on November 6, 2018. Braxton would go on to post 2,067 points in his career.
• It would be the first time a Saint Francis player scored his grand point against an NEC opponent in the regular season since Devin Sweetney reached the accomplishment at LIU in Brooklyn on February 19, 2009.  He scored 35 points in the game with his layup with four seconds left helping him reach the milestone.
• The Red Flash is 3-1 in games a player score 1,000 points in that game under Krimmel. The lone loss was against Illinois-Chicago in the CIT when King reached the feat.
• Cohen would become the only player on this team with 1,000 points in his career, but not the only person on the bench. Assistant coach Eric Taylor has 1,287 career points as a Red Flash player from 1994-98. Taylor joined the club after scoring 20 points at FDU on January 5, 1998.
• There are just four games left in the regular season. Saint Francis will play two games on the road and wrap up the season with two games at DeGol Arena.
• The Loretto program will open and close the conference schedule at home for the seventh time in program history and the first time since the 2017-18 campaign.• The Red Flash currently sits in a three-way tie with Sacred Heart and Wagner for fourth place overall and third place for postseason seeding with Stonehill ineligible for the postseason.
• If the postseason began today, Saint Francis would host St. Francis Brooklyn in the No. 3/6 game in the NEC Quarterfinals.
• Historically when the conference had a 16-game schedule double figure wins in NEC play guaranteed a Top-4 finish, which would be a home game this season, but even nine wins have been a Top-4 finish in the past in some campaigns.
• The Red Flash will have to go 3-1 to reach nine wins this season and finish with its first winning record in league play under Krimmel for the first time since the 2019-20 season and the fifth time under the coach.
• The team can also notch its eighth non-losing NEC record by finishing with an 8-8 record. Saint Francis would need to go 2-2 in its final four games for that to happen, which would also jive with KenPom's magic eightball prediction.
• Saint Francis is in a stretch of playing five-straight games with start times of 5 p.m. or earlier. The Red Flash is 4-7 in games that start before the sunsets this season, including 4-4 in its last eight games.
• Saint Francis returns to action and stays in Brooklyn against LIU on Saturday.
