LORETTO, PA. – Saint Francis was able to pick up their first win in program history over an Ivy League school including their opponent tonight, Brown. The Red Flash were able to play stifling defense for all four quarters as they have won their first ever CWPA quarterfinal matchup in program history. This not just the first win over an Ivy League school in program history, but also the first win over a top-20 school in program history. Since the program was started in 2017, the Red Flash have not picked up a first round win the CWPA Tournament until today with their victory against Brown. This was also the first occasion where Saint Francis shutout a top-20 program in the first half of play. Saint Francis was a combined 0-29 against Ivy League opponents in school history going into this contest making this win among the biggest in program history for the Water Polo program.
