Dance Travels to Orlando to Compete in College Classic Competition

The Red Flash Dance team and Frankie the Friar Mascot are attending The College Classic in Orlando, Florida which is a National Cheer, Dance and Mascot competition put together by Dance Team Union, LLC.

Red Flash Dancers are competing in two different categories called Jazz and Pom. The will be up against the likes of Stonehill College, Ohio University, Central Michigan University, University of South Florida, University of South Alabama, Western Kentucky and more.

Frankie the Friar has his sights set on University of Texas at Dallas, Texas A&M at San Antonio, Baylor University, Southern Mississippi and more. This is Frankie's first solo competition in a few years after being ranked 16th in the Nation in 2009.

Coach Anderson is proud of this team for being the first Red Flash Dance team to attend a National Dance Competition. They worked hard even choreographing their competitive routines themselves.

We compete early in prelims for the Pom Routine and are hoping to get into finals on the second day. There are schools from Division III the whole way into Division IA, so it is a pretty big event.

Maria Ernst says, "I am super stoked to dance with all my girlies at our first ever Nationals! We're gonna have a blast!"
