EBENSBURG, Pa. – Saint Francis University women's tennis defeated Stonehill 7-0 at home in its final match of the 2023 regular season. It was Saint Francis' third shutout victory of the season and moved the Red Flash to 3-1 in conference this season.
Doubles
Saint Francis took all-three doubles matches to earn the point.
Kelly Dowuona and
Bente Vandeputte won 6-4 in the No. 1 match,
Valeria Vinces and
Dominique Yeo won 6-3 in the No. 2 match and
Nagisa Miyake and
Sydney Tamondong won 6-2 in the No. 3 match.
Singles
The Red Flash took all-six singles matches in straight sets to earn its shutout victory. Vandeputte took a 6-1, 6-1 win in the No. 1 match, while Yeo won 6-3, 6-0 in the No. 2 match. Dowuona won 6-1, 6-3 in the No. 3 match and Vinces won 6-0, 7-5 in the No. 4 match. NMiyake won 6-4, 6-2 in the No. 5 match and Tamondong rounded out the wins with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the No. 6 match.
