Saint Francis Drops First Away Game Of The Season Against West Virginia

Saint Francis were under siege in their own zone from the get-go. West Virginia scored in the 12th minute and never looked back.

FLASH MOMENTS
Late in the first half, Rita Kendziora (Duncansville, Pa.) made a run along the wing and just missed a streaking Lauren Pyle (Lititz, Pa.) for a header near the goal.

In the 25th minute, Sawich made impressive back-to-back saves off of a header and its rebound.

FLASH NUGGETS
Saint Francis was not able to register a shot against a formidable West Virginia defense that applied consistent pressure from start to finish. The Red Flash were able to muster up one corner kick, coming in the 75th minute.

Avery Black (Martinsburg, Pa.) made her collegiate debut in the contest.
