TURNING POINT
Early in set two, the Red Flash found themselves on a six-point run to be up 8-1. Kori McClure (Westerville, Ohio) got the first kill of the run to earn the serve for Saint Francis. Skye Eicher (Rostraver Township, Pa.) registered the following kill, followed by three attack errors by Manhattan. FLASH MOMENTS
Although the Jaspers got on the board first, the Red Flash quickly claimed momentum in set one. Saint Francis had a six-point run to expand their one-point lead from 4-3 to 10-3. In addition to taking advantage of attack errors by Manhattan, Deptula registered two kills in the run, while Korrin Burns (Clarion, Pa.) and Eicher each recorded a kill of their own.

The Jaspers fought to keep in close in set three but could not stop the Red Flash. The score was 8-7 until Saint Francis pulled far enough ahead for the win. In the early four-point run, Maggie Hogan (Northern Cambria, Pa.) earned two service aces and Burns tallied two more kills on the night.

Towards the end of set three, Burns scored three service aces of her own with Saint Francis earning two more points off of errors making the score 19-10. Manhattan fought hard at the end of set three, but the Red Flash were able to take the win with a sizable seven-point lead.
