OPENING PITCH
Saint Francis University women's soccer heads to Pittsburgh, Pa., for an in-state matchup against Duquesne. The Red Flash will look to rebound after a defeat on the road to Delaware on Aug. 31.
The series between the two sides began on Sep. 24, 1994 with Saint Francis beating the Dukes 4-3 in Loretto.
This will be the 22nd time that Saint Francis and Duquesne will face off and the twelfth to take place in Pittsburgh.
THE WORD ON DUQUESNE
The Dukes enter this matchup with a 1-4 record on the season, and are coming off of a loss to Pittsburgh on Aug. 31.
Duquesne is averaging 10.4 shots per game this season and have a shots on goal percentage of .442.
LAST TIME WE MET
The last time Saint Francis and Duquesne played in a regular season matchup was on Aug. 22, 2021 at Rooney Field. The Red Flash dropped that contest, 3-1. Daniëlle Goedhart scored the lone Saint Francis goal.
