Saint Francis men's and women's tennis began the 2023-24 season at the Bucknell Invitational Sept. 1-3. The women went 19-17 in singles and 8-8 in doubles, while the men went 8-13 in singles and 5-4 in doubles,
 
Every Saint Francis player won at least once and Diana Zuba and Nagisa Miyake went undefeated in both singles and doubles.
The tandems of Zuba and Reagen Mangan as well as Tyler Nguyen and Kevin Kruzel went a combined 6-0.
Zuba and Miyake both went 3-0 in singles on the weekend as well, making them both 6-0 on the young season.
 
Nguyen capped off a strong start to his collegiate career by going 2-1 in singles, bringing his overall record for the weekend to 5-1.
Kelly Dowuana, Marie Discini and Gretta Rhodes all went 2-1 in singles on the weekend.
 
Two men's freshmen, Nguyen and Alan Gonzalez, and four women's freshmen, Zuba, Mangan, Gretta Rhodes and Kally Kadzinski earned their first collegiate singles victory in the tournament.
 
Both men's and women's tennis return to action at the Bloomsburg Invitational Sept. 8-9.
