PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- Saint Francis men's tennis competed at the ITA Individuals tournament from Oct. 17-21. The Red Flash picked up a singles win and a doubles win at the tournament.
Alan Gonzalez picked up a win in his singles round of 64 match at the event before falling in the next round. Gonzalez is now 6-3 in singles this year.
Mathis Tremblay and Tyler Nguyen also competed in the men's singles tournament, but both lost their first-round matchups in three sets.
Gonzalez and Kevin Titus Suresh competed as a pair in the doubles bracket but were eliminated in a hard-fought 8-6 loss to Penn in the opening round.
Nguyen and Tremblay continued their excellent run as a doubles pair this fall, winning their round of 64 match against Temple 8-4. They also lost 8-6 in the round of 32 to St. John's, The pair are 11-2 together as a team this year.
Nguyen and Tremblay will look to qualify for NCAA Individuals when they head down to Rome, Ga. For ITA Conference Masters.
