LORETTO, Pa.- Saint Francis women's soccer will look to spoil LIU's playoff ambitions when they meet on Sunday afternoon.

Saint Francis So Far in 2024
Saint Francis enters the contest at 5-8-3 and 3-4-1 in conference following their first win over CCSU since the 2017 Northeast Conference (NEC) semifinal. The Red Flash dealt a major hit to CCSU's postseason chances and have the chance to do the same to LIU.

Lauren Pyle paces the Red Flash offensively this season with four goals and an assist, totaling nine points. Tomke Dziesiaty leads the squad in assists with three. 

Emma Sawich has a .822 save percentage, has made 82 saves, and holds a 1.20 goals against average. She ranks first in the conference and is tied for 59th nationally in save percentage.

The Word On LIU
The Sharks enter the matchup at 5-8-1 overall and 4-3-1 in the NEC. Last time out, LIU lost 2-0 to Howard.

Grace Hennig leads the Sharks in points and goals with 14 points and six goals on the season. Gina Proviano is also a major contributor offensively for LIU with fi ve goals and 12 points. Emma Panagiotakopoulos leads the Sharks in assists with four.

Keely Thomas has seen most of the minutes between the woodwork for the Sharks this season. She holds a 2.17 goals against average and a .738 save percentage.

Last Time We Met
Saint Francis and LIU last met on Oct. 12, 2023 in Brookville, N.Y. in a match that ended in a scoreless draw.

10 NEC sides play on the penultimate matchday of the season. The match between Saint Francis and LIU, as well as the match between Stonehill and Mercyhurst have massive playoff implications. In order to stay alive in the playoff hunt, LIU must beat Saint Francis and see Stonehill lose to Mercyhurst. CCSU must also win their match against Le Moyne and see Stonehill lose.
