Rome, Ga.- Saint Francis men's and women's tennis wrapped up their fall 2024 campaigns when they took on some of the country's more talented doubles teams at ITA Conference Masters from Nov. 7-10.
Tyler Nguyen and Mathis Tremblay competed in the men's open doubles category, while Dasha Chichkina and Diana Zuba battled together in the women's open doubles category. The two teams qualified for the tournament based on their performances at the Northeast Conference Individuals tournament.
Both teams lost their two respective matches at the tournament. The Red Flash squared off against teams from James Madison, North Carolina Central, Portland and Cal State Fullerton.
Nguyen and Tremblay lost to a tandem from James Madison 4-6, 5-7 and lost to North Carolina Central 3-6, 1-6. Zuba and Chichkina lost to Portland in a back and forth match that ended 6-3, 2-6, 2-10. The pairing went on to drop their match in the consolation bracket against Cal State Fullerton 4-6, 4-6.
The Red Flash have wrapped up a solid fall 2024 season and now look towards their regular season starting in mid-winter.
