SELECT GAME NOTES VS. LOYOLAÂ (FULLÂ GAME NOTES PDF)
FRANKIES TIDBITS IN A FLASH
• Sunday's contest between Saint Francis and Loyola marks the 11th meeting in the all-time series dating back to the 1984-85 season. The Greyhounds lead the matchup 8-2 and have won the last four meetings in the series, including a 53-45 decision last season in Baltimore. The Red Flash has won two of the three games at DeGol Arena.
• Loyola has played in three conferences, including being a former conference foe of the Flash. The Greyhounds were one of the founding members of the ECAC Metro Conference along with Saint Francis. The league changed its name to the Northeast Conference in 1988, and Loyola left in 1989. The first seven meetings in the series were when both teams were in the NEC before the subsequent two battles came when Loyola was with the MAAC. Last year was the first time the two teams squared off with the Greyhounds in the Patriot League. Saint Francis' next opponent, Robert Morris, is also a former NEC foe.
• The Red Flash has a 13-23 all-time record against the Patriot League, including 7-10 at home. Two teams on the Red Flash schedule this season are in the Patriot League with Lafayette and Loyola. Head coach Keila Whittington will be playing a Patriot League team for the sixth time in her head coaching career: 0-2 vs. Bucknell, 0-2 vs. Lafayette, 0-1 vs. Loyola).
• Saint Francis is 56-72 against teams from Maryland and 32-22 at home. In non-conference play, the Red Flash is 16-33 against the Old Line State. The bulk of the games against teams from Maryland were against Mount St. Mary's when the Mountaineers were a member of the Northeast Conference. Whittington is 3-13 against the state.
• The Red Flash will play three teams from Maryland in the next 13 days. The stretch started at Coppin State on November 12, and after Sunday's game against Loyola, the Red Flash travels down to College Park on November 24. Saint Francis will also host UMBC on December 8 after this stretch

TRENDING UP
• Sophomore
Yanessa Boyd has registered double figures in her last two games to post double figures in consecutive games for the fourth time in her career. The sophomore, who had four games with 10+ points in a five-game stretch as a freshman, is looking to record double figures in three-straight games for the first time in her career.
• Boyd, who has posted at least seven points in her first four games this season, has registered double figures in five of her last nine games and is averaging 8.8 points per game in that stretch. Seven of her 10+ point games have come on the road, including her Top-2 performances.
• Junior
Natalie Johnson has registered double figures in points in two of her last three games, including finishing one point shy of her career-high of 13 points when she played at Robert Morris last year. The junior now has nine 10+ point games and is looking for her first back-to-back double-figure performance in a Saint Francis uniform. She turned the trick twice last year with the Colonials.
•Junior
Marissa Shelton, one of two players with a game-high eight points against NJIT in the season opener against NJIT, reached double figures for the first time this Friday. It was the third time in her career the junior scored double figures. She is looking to post consecutive 10+ point games for the second time. The last time she accomplished the feat was 14 points against CCSU on February 1, 2024, and 11 points against LIU two days later for her other 10-point career games. All three of her double-figure games have come at home.Â
