FLASH NUGGETS
Boyd, a native of Frederick, Md., played about 11 miles from her high school, Riverdale Baptist, for the first time in her career. She played in her home state for the third time, but the first two times were in Baltimore. The sophomore recorded her third 10+ point game this season and 12th of her career.
Marina Artero continues to be an assist machine after dishing out three helpers on Sunday. The sophomore has at least three assists in four games this season and has surpassed her freshman total after just seven tilts. The five assists were the second most of her career.
Campbell made her first appearance for the Red Flash since March 6, 2023. The junior missed last season due to an injury. She averaged 3.0 points and 4.3 rebounds per game and registered three 10+ rebound games in 2022-23. The junior finished with three points and three rebounds.
Eke ended with a career-high six points, and Plata also finished the game with that total.
Saint Francis battled a Top-25 ranked team for the 25th time in program history. The No. 11 ranking for Maryland was the sixth-highest opponent the Red Flash has played in the regular season.
It was the first regular-season meeting between the two teams but the second meeting overall. The two teams tangled in the 2011 NCAA Tournament, with the Terps earning a 70-48 win in the Red Flash's 11th NCAA Tournament appearance.
