Cranford gave the Red Flash the lead it would not relinquish on a 3-pointer with 16:28 left in the first half. With the Red Flash holding a 15-12 edge with 13:26 remaining in the opening stanza, the Frankies closed the half on a 31-16 run to go into the locker room at the half with a 46-28 advantage. Rosenberger posted eight points of his 14 first-half points, and Payne registered all seven of his first-half points in this run.
"We're still searching for 40 minutes of basketball, and the team responded in the second half. That's part of the game experience: how do you react in certain situations? These guys did a really good job in the second half of sticking to the scouting report and doing what we do defensively; we did a much better job executing offensively."
was huge for us, especially with his effort and energy in the first half. He went in there to change the game with his energy. And that's important. He's a talented player, and to see him come in with that kind of focus was big for us. I said to the group at halftime that we need four guys to play like that because when we have four or five guys on the floor that have that kind of focus and that kind of intensity, you become harder to play against."
"He's a talented player, and just like all of these guys, the more that they play, the better, the more confidence they can gain. He's a hard worker. Riley's growth in the last month is a product of his hard work. He cares. His voice is starting to emerge more, and that's part of a team's journey."Â
"He's done a tremendous job. It's good to see him play with some confidence and consistency. I know he will continue to push the envelope and grow his basketball player."
"It's pretty surreal coming from a junior college to a great program at Saint Francis and getting my first double-double. I am very happy and grateful for the opportunity I have. All credit to the team and the coaches for putting me in the best position to be successful."
"Coach always talks about the next-man-up mentality. I'm just doing the best I can and keep working. It's hard to fail when you have a coach who believes in you."

Braxton had turned the trick with a teammate four times: twice with Josh Nebo (vs. CCSU, January 21, 2017, and vs. St. Francis Brooklyn, February 2, 2017), once with Isaiah Blackmon (vs. Sacred Heart on December 31, 2016) and once with Mark Flagg (vs. FDU, February 1, 2018) when Braxton had his triple-double.
