LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University women's basketball fell at home against Central Connecticut 64-58.
Harris Robinson and
Marissa Shelton both scored a career high in points during the loss.

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
Central Connecticut took the largest lead of the first half, a four-point advantage, twice in the first quarter, which included a 13-9 advantage. In the final five minutes of the frame, Saint Francis had a 10-6 advantage and tied the game at 19.
Both teams stayed within three points the entire second quarter before the Blue Devils led 30-29 at halftime. Central Connecticut went on a 10-6 run out of the half and led 40-35 midway through the third quarter. Saint Francis followed with an 11-2 run and led 46-42 with 3:03 remaining in the third. Two Central Connecticut field goals in the final three minutes tied the game at 46.
In the fourth quarter, Central Connecticut opened on a 12-5 run and led 58-51 with 2:20 remaining in the game. Saint Francis twice cut the deficit to four points before Central Connecticut clinched its six-point victory.
FLASH NUGGETS
Shelton produced the first double-digit scoring effort her career and played a career-high 24 minutes. She fell one rebound shy of her career high with three in the game.
Robinson also had the first double-digit scoring game of her career and tied a career high with two three-pointers. Her rebounds fell one shy of tying her career high set in the season opener against Robert Morris. Robinson's three steals set a career high.
Dorsey has three games this season with at least seven assists. She raised her team-high average with 2.7 per game.
Carruthers' 16 points were her most since a 30-point effort on Jan. 19 – a four-game span. She has nine games with at least 15 points this season.
