Down only 6-3 at halftime, Saint Francis had an opportunity to mount a comeback. However, California Baptist scored five unanswered goals in the third quarter to take an eight-goal lead.
Emese Szucs (Budapest, Hungary) and
Adi Garges (Perkasie, Pa.) each found the back of the net in the fourth quarter, but the Lancers responded with three more goals to put away the game.

Szucs and Garges scored less than a minute apart, with Szucs scoring on a man-down opportunity at 5:59 and Garges finding the back of the net with 5:13 left in the game.
