Water Polo Drops Day Two of the Bruno Classic

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>>The Red Flash fell to Siena and La Salle, falling to the Saints 15-7 and to the Explorers in a close 9-7 game.

TURNING POINTS
Caylah Olay (Redondo Beach, Calif.) scored with about five and a half minutes left in the game, making the score 13-7. The Saints responded to her goal with one of their own before tallying another to take a 15-7 lead with just a few minutes left in the game.

The Red Flash found themselves in and out of the lead throughout the game against the Explorers with Olay tying the game at seven goals apiece with 3:19 in the fourth period. In those final three minutes, La Salle scored twice to win the game 9-7.


FLASH MOMENT
With 5:38 left in the second period, Olay scored to tie the game at three goals apiece against La Salle. The Red Flash defense prevented the Explorers from scoring through the remainder of the half and more than halfway through the third period with Olay and Sam Eschleman (Reading, Pa.) each tallying a goal to give Saint Francis a 5-3 lead.

FLASH NUGGETS
Olay recorded four goals in the loss to the Saints. Against the Explorers, she recorded an additional four goals.

Emese Szucs (Budapest, Hungary) and Eschleman were next in scoring behind Olay, each scoring a goal in both games.

Saint Francis will wrap up its time at the Bruno Classic, taking on a rematch with LIU at 2 p.m. tomorrow.
