Women’s Basketball Travel to Le Moyne for the First Time on Saturday

LORETTO, Pa. –
Saint Francis University women's basketball will take its first trip to Le Moyne in program history on Saturday, March 2 for a 2 p.m. tip-off.
 
Saint Francis Quick Hits
Kendall Carruthers is coming off her sixth Northeast Conference Prime Performer selection of the season on Feb. 26. She is fourth in the NEC with 14.1 points per game overall this season and is second with 17.1 during conference play. Her overall points per game are the most by a Red Flash player since Karson Swogger's 15.9 per game in the 2020-21 season. Marina Artero is 10th in the NEC with 5.5 rebounds per game and Julianna Gibson's 5.1 ranks 14th. Harris Robinson adds 4.4 rebounds per game and has grabbed at least six rebounds in eight straight games. She is averaging 7.3 rebounds during the eight-game stretch. Kameryn Dorsey ranks fourth in the NEC with 3.3 assists per game and she has at least six assists in four of the last six games.
 
Last Time Out
Saint Francis fell at home to Stonehill 66-56 as the Red Flash honored Kaitlyn Maxwell for her senior day during the pregame. Stonehill began the game on a 12-2 run in the first seven minutes and took a 20-10 lead into the second quarter. In the second frame, Saint Francis cut the deficit to 28-22 with 4:10 remaining before Stonehill took a 35-27 lead into halftime. The Skyhawks opened the half on an 11-8 run and led 46-35 five minutes in. Saint Francis was within seven points, 50-43, with 3:21 remaining in the quarter before Stonehill opened a 56-43 lead after three. The Skyhawks led by double-digit the entire fourth quarter to clinch its 10-point victory. 
 
Scouting Le Moyne
The Dolphins conclude their regular season on Saturday and enter the game 13-2 in conference play and 15-13 overall. Le Moyne is guaranteed to go at least .500 overall in its first season as a Division I program. Lytoya Baker leads the conference with 8.7 rebounds per game, which is 1.1 per game higher than any other player. She also ranks fifth with 13.8 points per game and is tied for the team lead with 1.6 steals per game. Sydney Lusher is second on the team with 9.3 points per game, followed by Kaia Goode and Sierra Linnin's 7.6 per game.
 
All-Time vs. Le Moyne
Saint Francis and Le Moyne met for the first time in program history in a 55-52 Red Flash victory on Jan. 21. At the time, Saint Francis handed Le Moyne its first-ever loss in NEC play. Destini Ward scored a game-high 18 points and Carruthers added 15. Baker led the way for Le Moyne with 14 points.

Sacred Heart (13-1) enters its final two games atop the NEC standings after a 78-49 victory over Stonehill (4-10). Le Moyne (13-2) stayed in contention for the NEC regular season title after a 55-46 win over Wagner (3-11). FDU (9-5) regained sole possession of third place after a 71-63 win over Merrimack (8-6). Central Connecticut (6-8) earned a 65-56 win over LIU (4-11).
