Water Polo Comes Up Short Against Harvard and Brown

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>>The Red Flash fell to Harvard 16-5 in their first game of the day before dropping to Brown 13-6.

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
With Harvard already up 11-4 going into the final quarter, the Crimson offense continued to outscore the Red Flash. Sam Eschleman (Reading, Pa.) found the back of the net with 6:49 remaining to make the game a 12-5 score, but four more goals from Harvard solidified their win.

Down 8-5 at the end of the third quarter, the Red Flash needed to come up big in the fourth quarter against Brown. The Bears scored five unanswered goals to widen their lead to 13-5 before Emese Szucs (Budapest, Hungary) scored with three seconds left to make the score 12-6.


FLASH MOMENT
With less than a minute to go in the first half against Brown, Szucs found the back of the net to cut the Bears' lead to 7-3. With just two seconds left in the second quarter, Isabel Lumley (Brisbane, Australia) scored her second goalie goal of the season.

FLASH NUGGETS
Szucs scored three goals for Saint Francis against the Crimson. She also led the scoring against Brown with a goal in each quarter for seven goals on the day.

UP NEXT
Saint Francis will play Princeton tomorrow at noon. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
