NORTH EASTON, Mass. – Saint Francis University softball defeated Stonehill 3-0 in the second game of the series and clinched the sweet with a 1-0 victory in the final game.

Hannah Bendle broke through with an RBI single that drove in
Lauren Aubry for a 1-0 lead.

Madelyn Wilson added to the Red Flash run total with an RBI single in the fourth inning.

Lexi Hernandez added an insurance run in the seventh inning with an RBI single and opened a 3-0 lead.

Allie Braly entered the game to record the final two outs and clinch the 3-0 victory. Â

TURNING POINTS OF GAME TWO
» The programs combined for three hits in the first three innings but could not score any runs. With two outs in the fourth, Ulam broke the scoreless tie with a solo home run.
» Saint Francis had runners on second and third with two outs in the sixth but could not produce another run.
» Stonehill had two runners on in each of its final two turns at-bat, but Marsden kept the Skyhawks off the board to clinch the series sweep.

FLASH NUGGETS
» Saint Francis is now 6-0 against Stonehill and has shutout the Skyhawks in four of the six games.
» Ulam set a new program record in career putouts with the first out of the first game played on Friday. Her career total now stands at 1,092. Ulam also produced her team-high fourth home run and 24th RBI during the final game.
» Vesco threw the eighth one hitter of her career (minimum of five innings pitched). She fell one strikeout shy of tying her single-game high this season.
» Marsden recorded her second shutout of the season and 17th of her career. She ended the weekend with a 0.62 ERA through 11.1 innings pitched.
