Men's Volleyball Earns Sweep over Edward Waters

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW 
>>Saint Francis University men's volleyball took a straight set win over Edward Waters in the first of two matches in Georgia on Tuesday (25-14, 25-19, 25-20).

>>Brady Stump led the offense with eight kills and a hitting percentage of .467. He also added four digs defensively.

>>Nathan Hayes made his first ever collegiate start, recording 24 assists, four kills, a hitting percentage of .500, and three digs.

>>Peyton Blain tallied a team-high eight digs and led a Red Flash defense that held the Tigers' offense to a .096 hitting percentage.

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME 
The Red Flash took the first two sets to go up 2-0 in the set. With a chance at a sweep, the team got off to a blistering 12-2 start in the final set and never looked back. The squad never let the lead get below four to claim the sweep by a set three score of 25-20.

FLASH MOMENTS
The opening set started out with Saint Francis getting off to a 15-11 lead. That would be the closest the set would be for the remainder of it. The Red Flash proceeded to go on a 10-3 run to win 25-14 to go up 1-0.

Set two was a close one starting out, with Saint Francis getting out to a 7-6 lead. They would break the set open with a 13-6 run to go up 20-12. The advantage would never get below five, and Stump's fourth kill of the set helped give the team a 2-0 lead by a set two final score of 25-19.

FLASH NUGGETS
Brayden Gall made his first collegiate start. The freshman middle blocker had five kills, a hitting percentage of .625, two blocks, and one dig.

Trevor Lewis played his first two sets of the season in his return from injury.

Tristan Browning saw his first collegiate action in set three.
