LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University women's basketball is set to conclude the 2023-24 regular season at the Northeast Conference's top team Sacred Heart on Thursday, March 7 for an 11 a.m. tip-off.
 
Saint Francis Quick Hits
The Red Flash clinched a spot in the NEC Tournament after having the tiebreaker over Wagner with two victories over the Seahawks this season. Saint Francis owns a 4-11 conference record and can earn any seed between No. 6-8 based on Thursday's results. Kendall Carruthers leads the team with 14.1 points this season and is third in the NEC with 16.7 points per game during conference play. Marina Artero is 10th in the conference with 5.5 rebounds per game overall this season and Julianna Gibson is 14th with 5.0. Kameryn Dorsey ranks fourth in the conference with 3.3 assists per game.

Le Moyne then outscored Saint Francis 28-15 in the second half to clinch its victory.

The Pioneers sit atop the NEC standings with a 14-1 record and need a victory over the Red Flash to earn the outright NEC Regular Season Champions title. Sacred Heart is 20-9 overall this season. The program is led by reigning NEC Player of the Year Ny'Ceara Pryor. She leads the NEC with 18.6 points, 4.6 assists and 3.2 steals per game this season. She is also tied for fourth in the conference with 7.2 rebounds per game. Amelia Wood is second on the team with 10.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. FDU (10-5) defeated Wagner (3-12) 59-51 to lock in the No. 3 seed for the NEC Tournament. Central Connecticut (7-8) took a 64-45 win over Stonehill (4-11) to stay in contention for the No. 4 seed. The final spot in the NEC Tournament is between LIU and Wagner. LIU clinches the tournament with a win over Stonehill or Wagner loss to Merrimack. Wagner clinches with a win over Merrimack and an LIU loss to Stonehill.
