BOX SCORE LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University women's basketball concluded the regular season with a 76-47 loss at Northeast Conference Regular Season Champion Sacred Heart.

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
Sacred Heart jumped out to a 12-4 lead in the first eight minutes of the game and ended the first quarter with a 14-5 lead. Saint Francis responded with a 9-2 run in the second quarter and cut the deficit to 16-14 with 6:13 remaining. The Pioneers went on an 18-6 run the remainder of the quarter and led 34-20 at the half.
The Pioneers started the third quarter on an 18-9 run and led 52-29 with 3:31 remaining in the third quarter. Saint Francis went on a modest 7-0 run and cut the deficit to 52-36 before Sacred Heart ended the third quarter with a 57-36 lead. Sacred Heart outscored Saint Francis 19-11 in the fourth quarter to clinch its victory.
FLASH NUGGETS
Carruthers finished her freshman campaign regular season with 14.0 points per game and scored double-digit points in her final eight games heading into the NEC Tournament.
Dorsey tied a career-high with her three steals and recorded her eighth game with at least six assists.

Saint Francis will enter the NEC Tournament on Monday, March 11 as either the No. 7 or No. 8 seed based on results of the final NEC games on Thursday.
