TEANECK, N.J. – Saint Francis University softball improved to 18-0 in conference play after an 11-0 run-rule victory in five innings to conclude its series at FDU. The Red Flash also clinched home field for the Northeast Conference Tournament and at least a share of the NEC Regular Season title.
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
» Rachel Marsden (15-5) allowed no runs on two hits with no walks and four strikeouts in 4.0 innings pitched. She went 2-for-3 at the plate with two runs scored, and a three-run home run.
» Kaylie Walters went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a stolen base.
» Savannah Nash hit a three-run home run and Lexi Hernandez added a solo shot.
» Eight different Red Flash players scored at least one run.
 
TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
» Olivia Ulam once again started the scoring for the Red Flash with a first-inning RBI single. Marsden followed in the second inning with a three-run home run that opened a 4-0 lead.
» Hernandez added her solo home run in the third inning before Saint Francis broke the game open in the fourth.
» Wruble drew a bases-loaded walk with one out for a 6-0 lead before FDU made a pitching change. The next at-bat, two Red Flash players scored on an FDU fielding error and opened an 8-0 lead.
» Nash followed the error with a three-run home run that drove home Ulam and Wruble and capped off Saint Francis' six-run fourth inning.
» Olivia Kolowitz entered the game in relief in the fifth inning and allowed one base runner before she retired the next two batters and clinched Saint Francis' series sweep of FDU.

» The Red Flash are set to host the NEC Tournament for the sixth time in the last seven seasons.
» Saint Francis needs one more conference victory to clinch its sixth outright NEC Regular Season Champions title in the last seven seasons.
» Hernandez has five home runs in the last 10 games and raised her RBI total during the stretch to 14.
» Nash is now tied with Ulam and Hernandez for the team lead with six home runs. She is second on the team with 35 RBIs.
» Ulam has five multi-RBI performances in the last seven games with 14 RBIs in that stretch.
