Women's Soccer Set To Host Duquesne

Loretto, Pa - Saint Francis women's soccer will look to get back in the win column when they host Duquesne on Thursday Sept. 12 at 4:00 p.m.

Saint Francis So Far in 2024
Saint Francis enters the contest at 2-2-2 after dropping their last match on the road to Mount St. Mary's on Sept. 4.
 
Lauren Pyle leads the Red Flash in goals and points so far in 2024 with two goals and four points.  

Tomke Dziesiaty leads the team in assists with two. Both of the 2022 All-NEC First Team selection's assists came on Pyle's goals.
 
Emma Sawich has a .800 save percentage and a .909 goals against average, both of which are the best marks in the conference so far.

Sawich's two NEC Defensive Player of the Week selections mark the first time since 2018 that a Saint Francis player has won the award multiple times in a season. Julia Hernan was the last player to accomplish that feat.
 
Mercedez Paino and Anouk Landgraff have each tallied a goal in 2024, while Raine Korpics and Evangelia Barakos each have an assist to their name.

Pyle and Rory Schaeffer have played every minute this season for Saint Francis.
 
The Word On Duquesne
The Dukes are off to a strong 4-1 start in 2024, with their only loss being a 2-1 defeat to #7 Pittsburgh on Aug. 18

Margey Brown is the leading goal scorer for the Dukes with seven to her name. That mark is the best in the Atlantic-10 conference and second in the country..

Maddy Neundorfer has maintained a 1.27 goals against average and a .769 save percentage through five matches this season.

Around the NEC
Nine of the 11 NEC teams are in action across Wednesday and Thursday.

LIU and Delaware State are in action on Wednesday afternoon. Thursday sees seven teams in action and multiple teams in big time matchups, including CCSU hosting Texas A&M and Mercyhurst visiting Marquette.
