Akron, Ohio - Saint Francis women's soccer will play their final non-conference match of 2024 when they visit Akron on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
Saint Francis So Far in 2024
Saint Francis enters the contest at 2-3-2 after dropping their fi rst home match of the season against Duquesne on Sept. 12.
Lauren Pyle leads the Red Flash in goals and points so far in 2024 with two goals and four points.
Tomke Dziesiaty leads the team in assists with two. Both of the 2022 All-NEC First Team selection's assists came on Pyle's goals.
Emma Sawich has a .829 save percentage and a 1.08 goals against average, both of which are the best marks in the conference so far. Sawich comes off a performance in which she set a career-high in saves in a match with 12 against Duquesne.
The last time a Saint Francis goalie made 10 or more saves in a match was Sept. 17, 2023.
Mercedez Paino and
Anouk Landgraff have each tallied a goal in 2024, while
Raine Korpics and
Evangelia Barakos each have an assist to their name.
The Word On Akron
The Zips come into the match unbeaten at 4-0-2 after defeating Cleveland State 1-0 in their last match.
Ella Hadley leads Akron in goals and points with two and five respectively. Morgan Pentz leads the team in assists with two on the year.
Penelope Cuirinier has seen the majority of the minutes in goal for Akron. She has an impressive .500 goals against average and a .867 save percentage
Last Time We Met
The last time the Red Flash and the Zips met was on Aug. 26, 2021 in a match that Saint Francis won 3-2.Â

Lauren Persichetty each netted goals in that match, while Pyle registered an assist on Kendziora's goal.
