De Castro has six goals and an assist for 13 points in her career. The sophomore posted two tallies in the Saint Francis 3-2 double-overtime win against Ball State one week ago. De Castro, who also had two markers in the 2023 season opener, has registered five goals and one assist in the weekend's first match in her career.
Waldspurger notched her third assist this season after posting a pair of helpers against Ball State, including on the decisive goal last week. The junior now has seven goals and 10 assists for 24 points in her career.
Zavaleta, who scored the game-winner in the win at Ball State last week, now has seven goals and 13 assists for 27 points to lead the team in career points.
Mia DiGenova made six saves in the game. DiGenova is the current Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
Saint Francis had won the last three matches against Towson from 2015-17 to take a 3-2 advantage in the series before the Tigers tied the matchup at three wins apiece with its win on Friday.
