The Sharks went on an unanswered seven-goal run in the first quarter until
Sam Eschleman score the Red Flash's first goal of the game at 1:40 left in the opening quarter.
FLASH MOMENTS
Saint Francis began to chip away at the LIU defense late in the third quarter with
Megan Marlin,
Alondra Torres and
Breeze Ohlson scoring back-to-back to make the score 14-7.
With 5:45 left in the fourth quarter,
Georgia Ellison found the back of the net. Twenty-eight seconds later, Eschleman tallied her fourth goal of the game.
Back-to-back goals by
Sarah Hartwell and Ohlson ended Saint Francis's scoring at an 18-12 score before LIU tallied the final goal of the game.
