Women's Water Polo Drops Match to Mount St. Mary's in Overtime

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> Women's water polo came up short to Mount St. Mary's in overtime, 16-12.

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
After the Red Flash mounted a comeback to force the match into overtime, Mount St. Mary's tallied four unanswered goals in overtime to take the game.

FLASH MOMENTS
With 5:28 left in the first quarter, Sam Eschleman scored the first goal for Saint Francis. The Mountaineers took a 2-1 lead, but a goal by Breeze Ohlson tied the game. She then tallied a goal on a penalty shot for a 3-2 score at the end of the first quarter.

Down two goals halfway through the fourth quarter, back-to-back goals by Caylah Olay tied the game at 12 apiece, sending the game to overtime.


FLASH NUGGETS
Eschleman, Ohlson and Olay led the team in scoring with three goals apiece.

Isabel Lumley recorded eight saves in net.


UP NEXT
The Red Flash will play Austin and Gannon in the second day of the VMI Invite. Games will start at 9:20 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., respectively.
