WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> Marissa Shelton paced the Red Flash offensively with 15 points on the night. The junior added three rebounds, an assist and a steal.
 
>> Julianna Gibson and Jade Campbell both scored in double figures as well, notching 10 points each. Gibson also had four rebounds and two assists. Campbell added a rebound.
 
>> Marina Artero recorded a team-best four assists, adding two points and two rebounds. Alary Belll led the team in rebounding on the night with six boards. Bell also had six points and an assist.
 
>> FDU's Teneisia Brown led the game in scoring with 22 points.

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
Once FDU took the lead midway through the first quarter, they would not give away the lead. The lead grew as large as 13 in the second half.
 
The Red Flash were able to cut the FDU lead to four at multiple points in the second half, but were never able to bring the score back within one possession.

FLASH QUOTES
"It's been fun to coach this group because they are willing to accept challenges that I am placing on them" Saint Francis head coach Keila Whittington said. "It does not always turn out in our favor but it is a great group who wants to work, and they are understanding how they can compete."

"If FDU is the number one team in the conference, then we just played with the number one team in the conference." Whittington said. "I am convincing them and making them understand that they are a special group and everybody has a role to play."

"If we keep up this type of energy and continue to compete with every team in the conference, then I think we are going to have more days where we are a lot happier at the end of the ballgame." Whittington said. 

FLASH MOMENTS
Saint Francis went on an 9-2 run in the final 2:06 of the first half to bring the deficit down to five heading into the break. Shelton accounted for five of the nine points in the run.

Throughout the middle portion of the fourth quarter, the Red Flash embarked on a 12-4 run to reduce the Knights' lead to four. Gibson, Campbell and Ineivi Plata each had four points during the run.

FLASH NUGGETS
Gibson scored in double figures for the second time this season, with the other occasion coming against Robert Morris on Nov. 20. 
 
Artero has now registered at least four assists in five games this season.
 
Shelton's 15 points in the game marked a season-high for the Fort Watne, Ind. native.

Jade Campbell went four of six from the field against FDU, marking the seventh time she has done so this year.
