TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
Saint Francis and Chicago State matched up for Sunday NEC action at Stokes Soccerplex. Early on during the third minute, the Cougars hopped on the board. Chicago State added another goal of its own during 14th minute. Even though the Red Flash had early shots on goal, it wasn't enough to keep up with the Cougars.Â
During the second half, Caterina Schiavo connected with Kasak for her first career goal and putting the Red Flash on the board. The Red Flash fell short to the Cougars when the final horn went off.Â
FLASH MOMENTSÂ
Riley Kerr and Raine Korpics had close scoring opportunities at 8:50 and 59:40, but hit the right and left post, respectively. Â
Kerr had another opportunity at 82:50, Â
Anouk Landgraff had two scoring chances at 9:11 and 15:23, however both missed right. Kerr had another opportunity at 82:50, but also missed right of the net.Â
Mercedez Paino had an opportunity of her own at 27:24, but hit the crossbar, respectively. Â
Hayden Barry sent a rocket towards the goal at 27:54, but was saved by the Cougars' goalkeeper.Â
Raine Korpics and Evangelia Barakos were given chances with free kicks just outside the box at 48:14, 49:49, and 84:09, but all landed in the hands of the keeper.

Maridza Desir returns for the first time since August 21st from an injury. During Sunday's matchup, Desir recorded 24 minutes. She led the team in shots in the first two games of the year before her injury.
