CCSU cut the margin to 28-23 with 7:17 on the clock before
Riley Parker hit a trey, and Pinedo scored in the lane to restore a 10-point advantage with 5:19 left. The Blue Devils made another run to make it a four-point game at 37-31 at the three-minute mark, but Moncrief, Parker, and Kelly answered with three consecutive buckets to restore the double-figure margin at 41-31 with 2:01 left in the stanza.Â
In the second half, Saint Francis went on an 11-2 spurt thanks to five points from Clayville, four from Rosenberger, and a basket by Pinedo.

Pinedo, who registered a career-high 24 points against Stonehill on Thursday, has registered double figures in his last three games, six of seven and 12 of 15. During this current three-game stretch he has posted the most points and his third and fourth most in his career and is averaging 17.7 points per game in his last three tilts.
Kelly has kept his 10+ point scoring streak going to a career-high five games and has double figures in six of his last seven. The sophomore is averaging 12.0 points per game in his last seven tilts.
Moncrief posted 10+ points for the second time since entering the starting lineup against Le Moyne on February 6, the fourth time in his career and the second time on the road.Â
Clayville found double figures for the eighth time this season and the second time on the road trip after an NEC-tying and road career-high 17 points at Chicago State on February 8.Â
Rosenberger finished with seven points, while Parker tallied seven points, five rebounds, and three assists. Parker's seven-game 10+ point-scoring streak was halted on Saturday.
Victor Payne played 11 minutes for the Red Flash, marking the first time a
Victor Payne played in Detrick Gymnasium since the 1999-00 season. Payne's father, also named Victor, played at CCSU from 1996-00 and helped the Blue Devils to their first championship.
