Up 5-0 heading into the fifth inning, a bases-loaded single by
Hannah Bendle widened the Saint Francis lead in game one to 7-0 in the first game of the day. With runners on first and second, a home run by
Savannah Nash gave the Red Flash a double-digit lead.
Madelynn Bates entered the game to pitch for the bottom of the fifth, earning a strikeout to lock up the win.
AB Cipalla singled to center field in the top of the ninth. Right behind her,
Olivia Ulam hit a double to right center, allowing Cipalla to score. In the bottom of the inning,
Addison Deal made two great plays on ground balls to win the game.

The Red Flash came out hot in game one. With Nash on third, a single by Ulam got Saint Francis on the board early.
Aliya Garroway hit a double to left center, allowing
Addie Smith and Ulam to score.
In the top of the second,
Olivia Ulam hit a two-run home run to take a 5-0 lead in game one.
Up 1-0, a single by Garroway allowed Cipalla to score an unearned run.
Annabelle Farmer hit a sacrifice fly to center field, giving Ulam a scoring opportunity to widen the lead to 3-0.
After UMBC took a 4-3 lead, Farmer grounded out to shortstop with
Sofia Zielinski scoring to tie the time.
FLASH NUGGETS
Nash and Ulam led game one with three RBIs apiece, both tallying a home run. Farmer and Ulam earned two RBIs each in the second game.
Ulam and Farmer each had five putouts for Saint Francis in game one. Ulam added 14 more putouts in the second game.
Allie Braly pitched for four innings, striking out three batters and walking one. Bates pitched in the fifth, recording two strikeouts and one walk.
In game two,
Olivia Kolowitz got the start, pitching for 4.2 innings, allowing four runs (all earned) with two strikeouts and two walks. Deal came in to pitch for 4.1 innings, striking out two in her first collegiate win.
