FLASH QUOTES
"Total team effort against a really good Chicago State team. I thought the group did a great job sharing the ball. Our commitment to the defensive end and rebounding in the second half was huge for this group to get a tough road win."

FLASH NUGGETS
Clayville notched the most points he has scored on the road and tied for the most points he has registered in a league contest this season. The freshman had 17 points against Mercyhurst on January 10. Clayville has nine double-figure games and three tilts with at least 17 points. It is the second time this season he has hit at least five 3-pointers in a game after he had six against Penn State Schuylkill when he had a career-high 20 points on November 20.
Cranford became the fourth player this season to register a double-double and was three assists away from registering the team's first triple-double since Keith Braxton against FDU on February 1, 2018. The 10 boards and seven assists were a career-high, while he has grabbed at least five caroms nine times and dished out five assists seven times this season. The freshman averaged 11.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game in the two games this week.
After registering 14 points in his last two games, Kelly recorded 13 points on Saturday. Kelly had one 10+ point game in his first 46 career games and has reached the mark in three straight and four of his last five. The sophomore averages 12.2 points per game in this stretch and shot 11-for-18 from the floor and 5-for-7 from behind the arc this week.
Pinedo, who had his four-game streak of double-figure point games halted on Thursday, registered 14 points or more for the fifth time this season. The Frankies are 4-1 when he reaches that total. The junior has recorded double figures in points in 10 of his last 13 games and seven rebounds seven times in that span.
Parker continued his 10+ scoring streak to a career-high six games after having two runs off five consecutive stops earlier this season. He is averaging 17.3 points per game in the last six games and has recorded 15 points or more four times during this streak. The junior has posted double figures 16 times in his previous 20 games.
Saint Francis has won back-to-back games for the second time in the year and in league play. Both winning streaks started with a win at home, followed by a victory on the road. The Red Flash has scored 80 points in back-to-back contests for the first time since defeating LIU on the road 93-82 on February 18, 2023, and FDU at home 82-72 on February 23, 2023. That was also the last time the Frankies won three in a row, which the team will be looking to with its next game.
Saint Francis traveled to Illinois for the fifth time in program history and came away with its first win in the state. The team played at Illinois-Chicago in 1983-84, 1999-00, and 2017-18, and at the University of Illinois in 2021-22.
After playing the NEC team, the most western team at Chicago State, the Frankies head to New England for the most eastern two teams as part of their four-game road trip. It is the 10th time Saint Francis is on a four-game road trip in team history.
NEXT ON TAP
The road trip continues at Stonehill on Thursday. Game time is 7 p.m. With Mercyhurst ineligible for the postseason, Saint Francis currently holds the No. 4 spot, which would earn the right to host an NEC Quarterfinals game. Stonehill is a game back in the win column to the Red Flash and currently holds the tiebreaker after winning 64-60 on January 5.
