FRANKIES TIDBITS IN A FLASH
• Monday's game between Saint Francis and Le Moyne marks the fifth meeting in the all-time series in a matchup that started last year when the Dolphins joined the NEC. Saint Francis swept the season series with a 73-41 win in Loretto on January 11 an a 66-60 overtime win in Syracuse on February 6.
• Saint Francis is making its 30th appearance in the NEC Tournament. The Loretto program is 47-17 all-time in the league postseason and 18-3 in games played in Loretto. Saint Francis has won 12 NEC Championships (1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2010, 2011, 2018). The Red Flash is hosting a tournament game for the first time since the 2019-20 season.
• Saint Francis is looking for its first NEC Tournament win since defeating Sacred Heart in the NEC Semifinals on March 14, 2019. It would also be the first tournament win at DeGol Arena since a 91-78 win against Bryant on March 11, 2019.
• With a win, the Red Flash would advance to the NEC Semifinals for the 20th time, where the squad holds an 18-1 record in the penultimate game of the tournament. The only time Saint Francis did not reach the NEC Championship Game after advancing to the semifinals was 2017. The Red Flash are 12-6 in the NEC Championship Game.
• With a win, Saint Francis would most likely play on the road for the semifinals for first time since playing at Sacred Heart on March 14, 2019.
• Saint Francis wrapped up the regular season by scoring 80 points against Mercyhurst on March 6. It was the first time the Red Flash reached 80 points since posting 82 points against St. Francis Brooklyn on January 11, 2020.
• Saint Francis finished with a 9-7 record to mark the 25th time in team history the squad posted a winning league record and first since 2020-21. The Red Flash has won its first game of the tournament in 21 of the previous times the team finished with a winning record. Saint Francis lost in 2012, 2013, 2017 and 2021 after recording a winning league regular season.Â
