For the first time in 34 years, Saint Francis men's basketball is the Northeast Conference Men's Basketball Champions and will be dancing in the NCAA Division I Tournament next week. The Red Flash will find out who, where, and when it will be playing during the NCAA Selection Show on CBS at 6 p.m. Saint Francis will be hosting a watch party for the Saint Francis community and fans of Red Flash basketball.
The watch party will begin at 5 p.m. at DeGol Arena on campus, and fans are invited to join the NEC Championships and learn its next destination by watching the Selection Show live at 6 p.m.. In addition, Saint Francis will be one of the schools featured on the CBS Selection Show, with a live look at our reaction after Saint Francis' name is revealed in the bracket.
The first 600 fans will receive a free t-shirt, and food and drinks will also be available. A photographer will also be available to take pictures with the 2025 NEC Championship trophy.
Saint Francis won its second NEC Tournament title after a 46-43 win against CCSU on Tuesday in New Britain. Sophomore
Daemar Kelly (Pittsburgh, Pa.) put the Red Flash up for good on a basket with 9.8 seconds left. Freshman
Juan Cranford, Jr. (Dayton, Ohio) was named the NEC Tournament Most Valuable Player and was joined on the All-Tournament team by junior
Riley Parker (Mandurah, Australia).
Saint Francis won its first NCAA Tournament title in 1991 and played against Arizona in its first-ever trip to the big dance.
