Saint Francis had a four-goal lead heading into the fourth quarter, but goals by
Kayla Rhoads,
Claire Gebhardt,
Alondra Torres,
Lucy Willis and
Sarah Hartwell outpaced VMI for the win. Rhoads tallied a hat trick in the fourth quarter.
With a 13-10 lead over Salem, the Red Flash outscored the Tigers 3-2, with
Lucia Redaelli,
Adi Garges and
Sam Eschleman tallying goals to make the final score 16-12.
FLASH MOMENTS
Eschleman and Gebhardt scored on back-to-back possessions in the second quarter, taking a 8-7 lead over VMI.
In the third quarter, Gebhardt tallied another goal with Adi Garges tacking on another, extending the lead to 11-7.
Eschleman and Sofia Maioriello recorded back-to-back goals in the second quarter to tie and take a 6-5 lead over Salem. Rhoads added another before the Tigers would respond.
Georgia Ellison and Rhoads scored two goals in less than a minute, pushing the Red Flash lead to 10-7.
FLASH NUGGETS
Eschleman, Gebhardt, Rhoads and Willis each recorded three goals against VMI. In the win over the Tigers, Eschleman had five goals to lead scoring for Saint Francis.
Maioriello and Olay each led with four assists in each game. Maioriello led against VMI, and Olay took the top spot against Salem. Â
Eilis Rogis was in net against the Keydets, tallying seven saves and two assists. Grace Rauquel took game two, recording 11 saves, one goal and one assist.
