West Windsor, N.J. – The Saint Francis University women's tennis team fell at the final hurdle on Saturday afternoon, coming up on the short end of a 4-1 result against FDU in the NEC final.

Doubles
The Knights won the no. 2 and 3 doubles matches to take an early 1-0 lead in the title clash.
Sara Jankovic andÂ
Reagen Mangan battled hard in the no. 2 match, but ultimately fell 7-5.
Kelly Dowuona and
Kally Kadzinski nearly dug themselves out of a 5-1 hole in the no. 3 match, but ultimately lost 6-4.
Diana Zuba and
Dasha Chichkina's match in the no. 1 position went unfinished, but the two teams were locked in a close 6-6 (1-1) match.
Singles
The Red Flash managed one point, coming from the no. 1 match, but could not find the other three that they needed.
In that no. 1 match, Zuba won a contest between the top two performers from the no. 1 singles spot in the NEC. The sophomore claimed a 7-6 (8-6), 6-3 win. Zuba finishes the 2025 season with a 27-9 record.Â
Chichkina and Kadzinski each won their opening set in the no. 2 and 5 matches respectively, but their matches went unfinished.
The Knights clinched with wins in the no. 3, 4 and 6 singles matches.

Zuba's 27 wins this season are the most ever in a single season in program history. Chichkina and Dowuona finish the year in a tie for second place at 24.
Dowuona finishes the year atop the all-time wins chart for the Red Flash with 110 victories over the course of her career.
