Women's Water Polo Drops CWPA Tournament Match to Michigan

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> Women's water polo fell 20-10 to third-seed Michigan in its first game of the Collegiate Water Polo Championships.

TURNING POINT
Saint Francis held on in the first half, but the Wolverines pulled ahead in the second half. With the Red Flash trailing by just two, Michigan scored four unanswered goals in the third quarter to pull ahead to 15-9. In the fourth, Michigan continued to outscore Saint Francis to advance in the championship tournament.

FLASH MOMENTS
Halfway through the first quarter, Sam Eschleman and Lucia Redaelli tallied back-to-back goals to narrow Michigan's lead to 4-3.

Early in the second quarter, Eschleman notched her third goal of the day. With 5:43 left in the quarter, Caylah Olay found the back of the net for a 10-8 score.


FLASH NUGGETS
Sam Eschleman accounted for half of Saint Francis's scoring with five goals.

Isabel Lumley was in net for the Red Flash, recording nine saves.
