Penn State tallied nine runs in the first inning, adding on two runs in the second and four in the third before the Red Flash could respond in the top of the fourth inning.

With Savannah Nash on third, Olivia Ulam doubled to center field to start the game with a 1-0 lead.

Late in the top of the fourth inning, Olivia Kolowitz hit the ball deep into left field for a two-RBI double.

FLASH NUGGETS
Ulam went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. She also led the team with five putouts.

Madelynn Bates and Kolowitz shared time in the circle. Bates pitched for a total of 1.1 innings, allowing four runs (three earned) with two walks. Kolowitz pitched for 2.2 innings, allowing 11 runs (10 earned) with three strikeouts and three walks.
