FLASH MOMENTSÂ
The sophomore, Connors, paced her way into third place with 3:43/K. She surpassed her college best of 15:49.9 and placed a new best of 14:58.5. Coming in fifth with a personal best time of 15:14.7, was Rosie Gaydos. Anna Quackenbush came in sixth place with a finish time of 15:21.0.Â
The other Red Flash runners were Morgan McNaughton (13th, 15:38.9), Savannah Hoover (20th, 16:09.2), Jordan Dean (21st, 16:16.2), Isabella Leger (27th, 16:37.4), Abigail Sheehan (29th, 16:44.0), Sarah Colman (32nd, 16:57.5), Ryan Wilson (34th, 17:09.7), Lauren Lomago (36th, 17:23.8), and Madelyn Lersch (41st, 18:33.6).Â
The Saint Francis women's team placed second during the invitational with a total time of 1:17:22 and had a score of 45. Â
On the other hand, the Red Flash men's team ended up in fourth after the 6K race. Scoring a total of 98 and a time of 1:41:52.Â
Carlos Cheruiyot led the Saint Francis men's team with a time of 19:47.5. He finished in 11th place followed by Collin Dreese (21st, 20:05.4), Micah Brydon (23rd, 20:11.0), Aaron Tressler (32nd, 20:54.5), Michelangelo Piccirillo (33rd, 20:54.7), Ryan Young (36th, 21:27.1), and Izaac Erwin (37th, 21:38.0).Â
FLASH NUGGETS
This invitational gave the runners a preview for the NEC Cross Country Championship, which will be held by the Red Flash on Saturday, November 1. This will be the sixth time in team history and the second time that it is hosted at B & D Acres in Tyrone, Pa. The last time Saint Francis hosted the Championship was back in 2022.Â
