Mason Imbt (Troy, Pa./Troy) and Geno Calgaro (Cannonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillian), members of the Saint Francis University football team, have been named to the All-Northeast Conference Preseason Team.

Imbt, a redshirt junior offensive lineman, has been named to the preseason team for the second year in a row. He appeared in a career-high 11 games in 2024 to help anchor the Red Flash offensive line. In his first two seasons in Loretto, he appeared in nine games, serving as a combo offensive lineman/tight end, and registered two catches for 22 yards, including a touchdown in 2023.

Calgaro, a sophomore linebacker, paced the team in tackles (37 solo, 33 assisted), including 7.5 tackles for loss (third on the team) and also forced two fumbles. He was named an FCSA Central Freshman All-American last season.

Saint Francis has been tabbed to finish sixth in the NEC Preseason Coaches Poll. CCSU, the defending NEC Champions, is the preseason favorite after receiving five of the eight first-place votes. Duquesne earned two votes to finish second, and Robert Morris garnered the final top vote to finish in a tie for third with LIU. Wagner, Saint Francis, Mercyhurst, and Stonehill rounded out the eight-team poll.

Saint Francis opens the season on Thursday, August 28, at Louisiana-Monroe. Game time is 6 p.m. The first NEC game will be held at CCSU on September 13, while the first of five games at DeGol Field is September 20 against Delaware State. The home opener is also Champions Day, where Saint Francis will honor its 69 NEC Champions. Members of those teams receive a free t-shirt, tickets, and in-game recognition. RSVP to Margie McHenry (mmchenry@francis.edu/814.472.3286) by August 18.

Last season, the Red Flash finished 4-7 overall and 2-4 in NEC play. The season was highlighted by a 23-17 win against Kent State on September 7, marking the program's first-ever victory against an FBS program.
