TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
Thursday's match between Saint Francis and Bucknell was quiet through the 44 minutes of the first half until one hit the back of the net at 44:18 for the Bison. During the second half, Bucknell put another on the board at 49:50, 54:54, and one more at 63:21.
Saint Francis scored their first goal on home turf at the Stokes Soccerplex. Korpics, with a free kick at 76:48, had a long ball shot over the defense of Bucknell and high right into the goal out of the goalkeeper's reach. Saint Francis continued to push their offense for the remainder of the game but could not seem to answer back.
FLASH MOMENTS
Korpics had a great scoring chance six minutes into the match but was saved by Bucknell's keeper. Korpics had another chance at 72:51 but was saved by the keeper for the Bison.
FLASH NUGGETS
With 30 shots faced and 20 shots on goal from Bucknell, Sawich had 16 saves. Sawich has recorded at least eight saves in four of the five games this season so far. This is the second time this season and third in her career that she reached double digit saves.
