Walker came into her homecoming at Pitt on December 18 with 20 career points. Since her breakout performance at the Petersen Events Center, the sophomore has three 10+ point games and is averaging 9.0 points per game in her last six games, which started with her game 18 minutes from her hometown. This weekend, she is averaging 15.5 points per game. She has done a lot of damage at the free-throw line, hitting 15 of 16 shots in her last six games, while adding 18 rebounds, nine assists, and five steals in this stretch.
Ricks averaged 17.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game this weekend. The graduate student registered a career-high 29 points and eight rebounds in the win against Wagner and then had six points and six rebounds on Saturday.
Sato, who narrowly missed her first career double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds against the Seahawks, posted eight points against the Sharks, marking the 10th time this season she has scored at least eight points. Sato is averaging 9.5 points per game in her last two games.
